Natalie + Clay - Donner Lake Elopement Photos

These two were married in front of a handful of family members in Clay’s brothers backyard. And while it was only a handful of people who witnessed their nuptials, this wedding is anything but simple. Natalie did not want to hold back on the details and Merrilly Wed did a stellar job on bringing Natalie’s vision to life. After the ceremony, we drove up to the Donner Lake scenic overlook. I keep sharing this story with everyone because it was so special. There was a moment that Natalie and Clay were sat and looking off toward Donner Lake. I decided in this moment to step away and allow them some space to sit and observe and feel the moment. This never happens on a big wedding day. There is always so much to accomplish as a wedding photographer at a bigger wedding. I love this moment and I loved this wedding.
